Free and Subsidised Energy and Environmental Management ServicesLINDeN CONSULTING PARTNERSHIP was established in 1989 with the aim of providing expert services to the industrial and commercial sectors in energy, environmental and business consultancy. The company has established two offices in the UK, and has associate offices worldwide. Linden has approved consultants working on behalf of the Department of Environment Food and Rural Affairs/Carbon Trust funded ACTION ENERGY and ENVIROWISE programmes, enabling the provision of free and subsidised services including: ACTION ENERGYAction Energy provides help and advice on how to reduce energy consumption to businesses and public sector organisations. The programme is managed by the Carbon Trust, a publicly funded company and part of the UK government’s initiative to tackle climate change. 1) General Survey:The General Survey is a free service designed to identify areas with potential energy saving opportunities and to provide an action plan for implementation. It is offered as a ‘walkthrough’ service with an approved consultant who has technical expertise in energy matters, understands the clients’ needs and how they operate, and has a good knowledge of the client sector economy. Download application form (pdf 388kb) 2) Site ReviewThe Action Energy Site Review is for companies or organisations whose energy bill is less than £50,000 per year. Again, a ‘walkthrough’ service from an approved consultant, the Energy Review will identify potential energy saving opportunities. ENVIROWISEEnvirowise is a joint DTI and Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs programme that promotes the adoption of cost-effective resource efficiency and waste minimisation measures to reduce costs and improve environmental performance within UK businesses. 1) Helpline:The helpline provides free independent advice on a wide range of environmental issues affecting business. No application form is necessary, call the Environment and Energy Helpline on 0800 58 57 94 to arrange this service. 3) Fast Track to Waste Minimisation VisitsExclusively for SME’s, the Fast Track service provides an achievable waste minimisation plan designed to deliver savings quickly. The specialist advisor may also address specific concerns and advise on legislation.
